Let's Talk School Club

Is a school-based club of pre-primary, primary, junior and school pupils, with support from FoRUT, aiming to create a platform of age-appropriate messages on alcohol and drug, mental health, SRGBV, etc.


School Outreach on Mental Health

Do you have a question? asked by the led facilitator to the puipl. Is provocation trigger mental health condition? asked a pupils. This question set the basis for the outreach.  Yes, constant provocation may trigger mental health condition especially for persons already volunerable to past trauma, anxiety. "As pupil, you must not bully, or mock your colleague". The outreach team defined mental health, mental well-being, mental health condition and coping mechanism.

School Outreach on Drug Abuse

The advent of drug abuse among young people including school pupils, neccessitate the awareness raising on the harmfulness of drug and it impact of school and learning outcome. It implications to the health and community development.

The outreach team enlighten the pupils on the types of harmful drug and useful drug that can be abuse.

The team talk the pupils on the methods used to drug innocent pupils without them knowing and cautioned them not to collect drinks from friends and outsiders.

 

School outreach on Digital & Online Violence

Commemorating the Day of the Africa Child. Community of Practice Koinadugu Chapter to which Network AID Africa is a member, undertake an outreach sessions on digital and online violence and abuse. Key messages were how digital and online abuse occur, provision that criminalise online abuse and penelty with reporting pathways under the cyber crimes act.
